Healing of past hurts

A good way to heal from past hurts is to make a list of people, places and things that have caused you harm. For instance , if it was a person, you could put their name in the first column then next to their name put what happened, and how it made you feel, and lastly, how you were affected by it, (your self esteem, or sense of self worth etc..)For an example lets say, Susie, for the person, didnt answer an email for what happened, and after that, you might have felt dissapointed. (Make sure that you keep it simple when you are getting started, and have some one to talk to that you trust for support when working on this list). What you are doing is facing past wounds by acknowledging those people, places, and things that might have hurt you, willingly or unwillingly. When you are ready, and you write everything down on the list, doing that releases it from your mind, and eventually you can let it all go. Ideas of people, could be family members, friends, co workers, (you will be specific with people's names on your own personal inventory) . Places could be, a bank, a hospital, or some other institution etc..It is really wonderful to have an awareness, and then be able to take an action. A good idea after you make the list, is to read it to someone that you trust, and then let it go by shredding it or burning it. There is so much freedom that can take place while going through this process. I like to pray with people, and replace the bad with good and positive things, after they have read to me each section when I am working with them. Forgiveness is so important, it can bring you so much peace and serenity, and then you are able to love freely again ..Remember you are worth it! Many blessings to you!
