Having completed a degree in Economics and Philosophy, I have taken a varied career path (monastic living, pastoral and hospital work, IT, teaching, writing and sundry others). I have always taken a keen interest in the 3 fundamental questions: why are we here? Where have we come from? Where are we going to? I believe in the capacity of the human spirit to rise above adversity, indeed personal challenge is the key to fulfillment and the building of true character.

One of the most important tasks each one of us faces in our lives is to form a basic set of beliefs about our own existence. What should I believe in? Is there a God? If so, what should be my response? How do I choose between a myriad of religions for the one that is true for me? What criteria could I use to help me make that most important of choices. These are all important questions. I believe to be fully human, we all must make that choice personally, no one but you can make it. My article is a guide to the thought processes necessary to make an informed choice. Good luck searching!
