Advice on Alcohol Addiction
Alcohol is a drug - just like any other. If it were made a commericial product to be available to consumers today, (and the same goes for smoking and tobacco) it would almost certainly not be approved by any government or regulatory body. As it has been around since the dawn of civilisation, it is going to be part of modern living for the forseeable future since it is now so ingrained in most cultures, to stop its sale and consumption would be almost - if not completely impossible.
So, we have a growing number of people addicted to alcohol - more than ever before since alcohol producers and brands now specifically target the younger, more easily persuaded younger people in society - eager to try out the latest fashions, trends and above all, look 'cool' to their contemporaries.
Most people - doctors included agree that a small amount of alcohol in the form of wine (preferably red) contains enough antioxidants to give drinking it some health benefits. But the the negative affects of alcohol consumption far outweigh the good.
